Shoalhaven District Memorial Hospital is the main acute care hospital for the Shoalhaven region, providing emergency care, medical, surgical and rehabilitation care.
Since opening in May 1951, Shoalhaven Hospital and its dedicated staff have looked after the needs of the Shoalhaven and surrounding communities, providing a wide variety of health care services to our local population.
The hospital is networked with other hospitals in the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District and is affiliated with the University of Wollongong, supporting the training of Nursing, Medical and Allied Health staff.
What you'll be doing
We have Permanent and Temporary opportunities for Endorsed Nurses in our Surgical Ward at Shoalhaven Hospital. The Surgical ward specialises in pre-operative and post-operative care for patients undergoing general surgery and orthopaedic procedures utilising 26 beds.

- Current registration with the Australia Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Enrolled Nurse (Division 2) with Medication Administration Endorsement
- Demonstrated commitment to person centered care and NSW Health Core Values.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of acute care nursing
- Effective written and verbal communication skills including computer skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work as a member of the multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks, organise workload and effectively manage time
- Demonstrated critical thinking around evidence based practice
