The Role

We are looking for a qualified health care professional with:

  • Current registration as a Medication Endorsed Enrolled Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • At least one full year of Nursing experience.

Our Enrolled Nurses (ENs) contribute to planning, implementing and assisting in the evaluation of health issues and in the provision of nursing care for patients. You will work within Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network (JHFMHN) and Ministry of Health policies, procedures and guidelines as well as Corrective Services NSW or Juvenile Justice NSW rules and regulations as set out in the relevant legislation.

Reporting up to a passionate Nurse Unit Manager, you will work alongside a dedicated multi-disciplinary team comprising of primary care, drug & alcohol and mental health services. Working within a well-regarded clinical care team, you will enjoy the support of an on-site Clinical Nurse Educator as well as a team of nurses focused on providing quality care to some of our society's most vulnerable & disadvantaged. 

 

Our Location

Mid North Coast Correctional Centre is a multi-classification facility housing maximum, medium, and minimum-security inmates of both genders. Located in the rural locality of Aldavilla, the centre is situated north of Sydney and 14 kilometres west of Kempsey, New South Wales. Surrounded by natural bushland, the facility operates within a secure, controlled environment and serves as a key correctional institution in the region, providing a range of rehabilitation, educational, and vocational programs aimed at reducing reoffending.
