THE ROLE:
Calvary Mater Newcastle are looking for Enrolled nurses who would like to join our Nurse Bank.
The Enrolled Nurse – Medication Endorsed is responsible for providing safe, effective and appropriate care in patient-focused environment.
As a Nurse Bank employee you will be rostered shifts equivalent to your contracted hours and may be allocated to various wards. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who wants to develop their expertise within a diverse public hospital.
DUTIES:
- Plan appropriate care in consultation with the patient and registered nurse.
- Act in accordance with profession’s code of ethics and professional standards.
- Provide education, information to patients and carers to facilitate understanding.
- Organise and perform stated duties proficiently with minimum direct supervision.

ABOUT YOU:
- Influenza vaccination is a mandatory requirement unless assessed exempt
- Enrolled Nurse – Medication Endorsed with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA
- Demonstrated recent clinical experience in an acute care and/or hospital setting
- Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity
- Demonstrated communication, interpersonal skills, customer service skills and the ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated commitment to own personal and professional development
