Selection criteria:
- Current Enrolled Nurse (Division 2) registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia with no notations related to administration of medication.
- Demonstrated understanding of team nursing and ability to work effectively as part of the multidisciplinary health care team.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, carers, other care providers, hospital clinicians, immediate team members and other stakeholders.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of quality improvement, person-centred care and evidence-based practice. Demonstrated understanding of and ability to practice in accordance with legislation, policies and within the scope of practice for an Enrolled Nurse.
- Demonstrates ability to rapidly adapt to changes in processes or models of care and to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Have completed / willingness to complete (and where necessary be competency assessed for) any NSW Health training required for the role.
