Nepean Hospital is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Pharmacist Grade 3 to lead our Dispensary Team. This is an exciting leadership opportunity for a dynamic and patient-focused pharmacist to join a committed team delivering high-quality pharmaceutical services in a major tertiary hospital setting.
As the Dispensary Team Lead, you will oversee the daily operations of the inpatient and outpatient dispensary services, manage a team of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians and ensure the efficient and safe supply of medications across the hospital. You will work collaboratively with Clinical Pharmacy, Nursing and Medical Teams to deliver best-practice care, while driving improvements in workflow, medication safety and staff development.
This position contributes to teaching and research, including mentorship of pharmacy intern and university pharmacy student placements, as well as the development of clinical practice initiatives and advancements of Lithgow Hospital. The Director of Pharmacy is responsible for the day to day operations and the management of all human, financial and physical resources for Lithgow Hospital Pharmacy Services.

What you will bring to the role
- Registered Pharmacist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with no restrictions with relevant post-graduate qualifications.
- Demonstrated pharmacy management and clinical experience in a hospital pharmacy.
- Demonstrated excellent communication and time management skills, able to show initiative and innovative problem solving capability.
- Proven ability to lead, develop, co-ordinate and evaluate Pharmacy Services.
- Demonstrated ability in clinical planning and provision of patient-centered, high quality and cost effective service.
- Demonstrated computer skills and be proficient in the use of hospital Pharmacy software.
- Experience and commitment to teaching, research and staff training.
- Current unrestricted NSW Drivers Licence Class C with the ability to travel for work related purposes.
