Disaster Response and Recovery Clinician - Bega, Eurobodalla or Cooma - Incentives Offered
Selection Criteria
- Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with a minimum of 5 years' full time equivalent, post registration experience and at least 3 years' full time equivalent experience in the mental health field and post graduate qualifications in mental health nursing or area relevant to the clinical specialty, or Senior Allied Health Occupational Therapist, Social Worker, Senior Psychologist or Clinical Psychologist registered with or eligible for registration with APHRA or eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers with a minimum of 5 years' full time equivalent, post graduate experience and at least 3 years' full time equivalent experience in the mental health field.
- Demonstrated expertise and advanced practice skills with the ability to provide an expert consultancy and clinical service for people experiencing mental health problems as a result of bushfires or disaster.
- Demonstrated organisational skills and ability to work autonomously with a broad scope, and to manage a demanding workload with competing priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to foster teamwork and interagency collaboration to support coordinated and integrated mental health services within a stepped care model.
- Demonstrated experience in clinical service planning and ability to work within an interagency framework to contribute to service development, including developing innovative responses to unique needs.
- Demonstrated advanced communication and interpersonal skills across a variety of mediums including effective negotiation skills with a range of stakeholders and proven application of practice development frameworks to improve clinical practice.
- Evidence of a current unrestricted drivers' licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances and overnight stays

This is a Category ‘A’ position, please read and understand NSW Health policy directive PD2024_015 All new employees must agree to comply with the requirements outlined in this policy. OASV requirements also include proof of vaccination against influenza and is compulsory for NSW Staff that enter any Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF) or who work in NSW Health owned and operated RACFs.
