  1. Current registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse/ Midwife (Division 1), with extensive experience in nursing and midwifery leadership and management within an acute care health setting at senior management level and relevant tertiary qualifications.
  2. Demonstrated a proven record of excellent leadership and people management skills.
  3. Demonstrated ability to identify and analyse clinical service and lead the implementation and evaluation of evidence based best practice and contemporary models of care within nursing/midwifery services.
  4. Demonstrated ability to manage the financial resources and nursing/ midwifery workforce requirements.
  5. Demonstrated capacity to lead a multidisciplinary team within a complex environment evidenced through the use of highly developed interpersonal, negotiation, advocacy and communication skills.
  6. Comprehensive knowledge of and commitment to health system safety, quality, risk management, change management, innovation, professional practice development and research.
  7. Understanding of and commitment to the effective and meaningful engagement of clinicians in the decision making process that impacts on positive patient outcomes.
  8. Current licence to drive in NSW with the ability to drive for work purposes.
