Selection Criteria:

  1. Relevant tertiary qualifications in human resources, workforce management, employee relations, employment law or relevant equivalent work experience, or a combination of study and work experience in addition to extensive experience in Human Resources management at a senior level in a large diverse service industry organisation
  2. Significant and demonstrated experience in providing generalist HR business partner support and advice at a senior level, across the diverse scope of HR functions such as performance management, job evaluation, change management, industrial consultation and advocacy, Award based interpretation and advice, and recruitment
  3. Substantial experience in employment relations including conducting complex dispute resolution and investigation processes, advocacy and negotiation, briefing counsel, and preparation of legal briefing documents
  4. High-level analytical and problem solving skills that enable reporting on complex HR issues, sound decision making, timely responses and creative solutions
  5. Demonstrated ability to take a leading role in the full range of professional Human Resource services, with the ability to contribute to the development and implementation of innovative and contemporary HR related policies and procedures, whilst keeping abreast of emerging policy trends and employment related law as they apply to contemporary service delivery in the Health setting
  6. High level industrial negotiation, dispute management and alternate dispute resolution skills in addition to superior and effective oral and written communication combined with the ability to analyse data and prepare complex briefs, reports and submissions
  7. Superior interpersonal skills, including demonstrated ability to coach, motivate and mentor managers and staff, as well as consult effectively with key stakeholders including management, staff, industrial organisations, other industry bodies and external agencies
  8. High level of computer literacy including HRIS and Microsoft packages with the ability to generate and develop workforce reports using workforce metrics
