This is an ideal role for a Medical Administrator who thrives in regional and rural public health service delivery. You will be supported by your hub Medical Workforce/HR team and established Heads of Department. In addition you will enjoy collaboration with your colleague hub Directors of Medical Services and the District Director Medical Workforce.
Your portfolio includes Shoalhaven, Milton Ulladulla and David Berry Hospitals, all located on the picturesque South Coast of NSW. Shoalhaven Hospital is a busy acute care facility with 211 beds, which provides emergency care, medical, surgical and orthopaedic services to around 22,000 patients each year. The hospital has an Intensive Care Unit that incorporates High Dependency and Coronary Care beds, a busy Obstetric Unit and also provides Emergency Department services.
Milton Ulladulla Hospital is rural acute facility that provides services including emergency, general medical and minor surgical services, antenatal and postnatal services, renal, palliative, ambulatory care and oncology outpatient's services for the southern Shoalhaven. David Berry Hospital provides rehabilitation and slow stream medical care. It also provides specialist palliative care for the Shoalhaven Region. The hospital has 26 beds - 17 in the Rehabilitation Unit and 9 beds in Palliative Care.
The Shoalhaven region is bordered by the mountains, coastal plains and over 100 magnificent beaches and this natural environment plays a central role in the quality of life of the local community. Commute times are short.
