Director Analytics

What you will bring to the role:

1. Tertiary qualifications in data science, analytics, ICT or similar, or equivalent demonstrated experience, sufficient to provide a deep and nuanced understanding of the best practice in analytics, reporting, business intelligence and data science.
2. Experience in leading and managing team(/s) of data professionals, and expertise in embedding standardised, consistent and robust processes for data analysis. Ability to upskill and empower technical staff to increase capability and adopt modern techniques and processes.
3. Understanding of the health system and the relevant processes, systems, and regulatory requirements - demonstrated experience in clinical costing, casemix and Activity Based Management processes, DNR submissions is essential.
4. Experience managing complex data and analytics projects end-to-end – from gathering requirements, setting up data pipelines, designing and developing solutions, testing and iterating the solution to deploying, training and maintaining products on an ongoing basis. Detailed knowledge of best-practice analytics workflows, processes and tools including server management.
5. Demonstrated experience in deriving valuable insights from data in a clinical, healthcare setting, including using data to understand and improve patient experience, or to understand the impact on patient outcomes arising from changes to policy and procedure.
6. Demonstrated experience improving organisational performance through the development of business intelligence, KPI reporting and data analysis.
7. Proven skills in effectively communicating and collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across a variety of specialisations and domains.
