About the position:

Are you ready to make a meaningful difference? We're expanding and looking for a passionate Digital Content Officer to join our dynamic team at Hunter New England Local Health District. In this role, you'll play a key part in supporting our communications team by driving digital content across various platforms. You’ll also gain hands-on experience in public health communications, learning how to create engaging and clear messaging for diverse audiences.

  • Content creation: Craft and produce engaging content for our digital platforms. 

  • Content management systems: Manage and update both the employee intranet and external website, while also supporting teams with training on these platforms. 

  • Social media: Support our social media, including planning, posting, engagement monitoring, and performance analysis. 

  • SEO optimisation: Ensure our content is search engine friendly to boost visibility and organic traffic. 

  • Analytics and reporting: Monitor and evaluate digital metrics to inform future content strategies. 

  • Collaboration: Work across departments to align content with the district’s goals, maintain brand consistency, and support our partnership with IT. 

  • Audience engagement: Foster a strong connection with our community through interactions, building brand loyalty.
