- Tertiary qualifications in a communications discipline and/or significant experience working in a health or a marketing communications team with a media, digital marketing or stakeholder engagement focus.
- High level writing skills including the ability to translate technical concepts into well structured, easily understood copy for a variety of different audiences and platforms, including print and online.
- Strong record of developing and implementing successful engagement strategies that reach a range of audiences via multiple channels, with an emphasis on digital communications.
- Demonstrated experience in media liaison including media monitoring, writing media materials, developing media strategies and managing the social media presence of a complex organisation across multiple channels.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with demonstrated ability to work on a range of projects and manage competing demands, develop innovative solutions and make sound decisions in order to meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and experience at developing relationships with staff, key stakeholders, healthcare professionals and journalists to achieve communication outcomes.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office including Word and PowerPoint and familiarity with Adobe applications including Creative Suite.
