  1. Tertiary qualifications in a communications discipline and/or significant experience working in a health or a marketing communications team with a media, digital marketing or stakeholder engagement focus.
  2. High level writing skills including the ability to translate technical concepts into well structured, easily understood copy for a variety of different audiences and platforms, including print and online.
  3. Strong record of developing and implementing successful engagement strategies that reach a range of audiences via multiple channels, with an emphasis on digital communications.
  4. Demonstrated experience in media liaison including media monitoring, writing media materials, developing media strategies and managing the social media presence of a complex organisation across multiple channels.
  5. Strong organisational and time management skills with demonstrated ability to work on a range of projects and manage competing demands, develop innovative solutions and make sound decisions in order to meet deadlines.
  6. Excellent interpersonal skills and experience at developing relationships with staff, key stakeholders, healthcare professionals and journalists to achieve communication outcomes.
  7. Strong knowledge of MS Office including Word and PowerPoint and familiarity with Adobe applications including Creative Suite.
