About the role
The fixed-term part-time role 5 days per fortnight (April 25 to Feb 26) Dietitian ensures a high standard of dietetics service is provided to patients of the hospital, along with appropriate support and advice to their carers. The dietitian will participate as a member of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure a patient-centred, evidence-based, continuous quality improvement work environment that is consistent with the values and ethics of HammondCare and Dietitian's Association of Australia.
About you
ESSENTIAL
- Commitment to engage and align with HammondCare’s Christian Mission, Motivation and Mission in Action.
- A tertiary qualification in Nutrition and Dietetics with eligibility for full membership to the Dietitian’s Association of Australia
- APD status through the Dietitian’s Association of Australia
- Demonstrated knowledge or experience in food service menu management
- Demonstrated clinical experience (1-2 years), in particular experience working in an outpatient rehabilitation setting, inpatients mental health or palliative care
- Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated organisation and time management skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- A current driver's license and safe driving record
- Willingness to travel between HammondCare’s sites and services
DESIRABLE
- Strong administrative and computer skills.
- Experience working in a multi-cultural environment
- An understanding of Work Health and Safety policies and procedures
