What you'll be doing
Work collaboratively with the Director of Nursing and Midwifery to ensure the best outcome for patient care and service delivery is achieved through the provision of best practice quality care, optimisation of human resources, access, flow and the overall patient experience within the Hospital. In collaboration with the Operational Nurse Managers promote excellence in professional nursing practice across all nursing and midwifery services in the hospital to ensure the development and maintenance of high clinical and professional standards in the provision of safe, effective, timely and compassionate healthcare.

Essential Criteria:

Registration: Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) 

 

Selection Criteria:

  1. Relevant post graduate qualifications or working towards or equivalent work experience or a combination of study and experience deemed appropriate by WSLHD
  2. Significant experience at a senior operational management level in a complex clinical service providing high-quality care to consumers in a culturally responsive way.
  3. Demonstrated capacity to lead, participate and hold people to account in a dynamic multidisciplinary team environment with multiple stakeholder groups and proven ability with successful financial and resource management
  4. Ability to actively contribute to and role model a positive workplace culture with a demonstrated capacity to lead and proactively participate and advocate in a dynamic multidisciplinary team environment with multiple stakeholder groups.
  5. Significant experience in evaluating, reviewing and reporting on service delivery, actioning variance and a proven ability to work in partnership with external stakeholders/agencies.
  6. Proven ability to effectively manage a number of complex activities concurrently with a demonstrated knowledge of contemporary health service issues and successful track record in the application of creative solutions to clinical care challenges
  7. Demonstrated experience working with senior executives, clinicians and managers within a large complex environment, with a proven track record in building rapport and establishing trust.
