Essential Criteria:
Qualifications: Certificate III and Cert IV in Dental Assisting or recognised equivalent
Selection Criteria:
- Recent, adequate experience as a Dental Assistant across a range of dental specialties
- Demonstrated ability to assist the clinician in a four-handed environment, with a variety of dental procedures providing specialist or specialised care
- Demonstrated ability to perform effective infection control procedures in all aspects of Dental Assisting
- Demonstrated proficiency and accuracy in dental charting with good computer skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with proven ability to liaise with a wide range of individuals
- The ability to work in a large, multidisciplinary team, and be able to liaise effectively with a range of individuals including fellow health care workers and the general public
- Excellent organisational, time-management and problem-solving skills
