The Data Analyst, Whole of Health Program will be managing data analytics work required across the program. This will support the Program’s activities in performance support and improvement, implementing patient flow improvement strategies, and statewide initiatives to improve service delivery. You will lead and manage the future development of an existing multi-source PowerBi report, and data analytic functions of the team. Health Manager level 2, starting salary from $109,857 - $129,624 plus Super, with a 38-hour work week.
What you will do
- Administration of PowerBi tools for data analysis and production of associated reports.
- Coordination and management of system life cycle including data sourcing, uploading and staging.
- Undertake data analysis to support health organisation diagnostics and risk assessments.
- Assist in the development and reporting of bespoke performance indicators for internal and external use.
- Provide analysis and advice as required to meet the needs of the respective stakeholders and promote health access improvement.
About you
We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with:
- Advanced data analysis skills and experience with the development of reports, including the use of advanced M365 products such as PowerBi.
- Well-developed analytical skills including the ability to analyse and interpret complex. information from numerous sources, prepare and present analysis and reports, and manage challenges creatively to achieve business focused solutions.
- Specific skills in data configuration modelling, validation, and visualisation; as well as SQL, writing formula and measures in DAX and Power Query.
- Experience in project management and meeting tight deadlines.
- Ability to produce high quality written documentation and presentations.

Target Questions
- The Whole of Health Program Data Analyst will be responsible for performing complex analyses utilising PowerBi. This includes configuring data sources from different formats e.g. databases, servers, reports, MS Excel. The work is underpinned by knowledge of SQL, relational databases, data manipulation, and cleaning.
