About the Opportunity
The Cybersecurity Analyst is critical in enhancing the security posture and maturity of SLHD's complex ICT environment, specifically focusing on day to day incident tickets and achieving compliance with Essential Eight and cybersecurity strategies. This role is responsible for identifying, managing, and mitigating vulnerabilities, as well as responding to and managing security incidents to protect sensitive healthcare data and ensure the resilience of our IT infrastructure.
There may be a requirement to work from time to time at other Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) facilities. The Digital Health teams provides support for systems that are in use 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and will be required to provide 24/7 on-call support. Although this position is not a frontline clinical support position, the occupant may be required to provide support out of hours to ensure availability of the system.

Ideal Candidate
- A bachelor's degree and/or relevant experience within the field of Computer Science, Information Security, or a related discipline with 2+ years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on vulnerability management, incident response, threat analysis and security operations in complex environments, with proficiency in vulnerability scanning and assessment tools (e.g., Tenable.IO, Nessus, Qualys). Within the healthcare systems (preferred).
- Relevant certifications in Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) desirable.
