1.     Must be a person of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander decent- an applicant's race is a genuine occupational qualification and is authorised under Section 14 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1997 NSW.

2.     Personal experience as a consumer of Mental Health Services and ability to utilise the lived experience to support others in their own mental health recovery journey.

3.     Certificate IV in Peer Work, or willingness to obtain this qualification; or relevant health related qualification and combination of experience.

4.     Demonstrated clear written and verbal communication and negotiation skills including computer skills (MS Office).

5.     Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team and actively contribute to clinical care planning processes in a team setting.

6.     Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective partnerships with a range of key stakeholders, non-government organisations, multi-disciplinary teams, patients, and carers.
