  • Possession of a current senior first aid certificate.
  • Ability to consistently maintain a professional manner and presentation.
  • Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work in an environment where customer service and compassion for those requiring healthcare are required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision and to participate as an effective team member.
  • Demonstrated manual handling skills combined with proven ability to perform work of a physical nature including loading/unloading and maneuvering patients around, on/off stretchers and in/out of wheelchairs.
  • Possess an unrestricted NSW Manual Light Rigid Driver Licence prior to commencing employment and, without incurring more than six demerit points in the last three years or a licence suspension/cancellation in the last two years.
  • Well-developed basic literacy skills including reading and writing skills.
  • I understand that I am only requested to provide my readily-available vaccination evidence. HealthShare NSW will inform me of any further requirements
  • I have attached any present evidence of immunity to Whooping Cough, Hepatitis B, Measles/Mumps/Rubella and Chicken pox.

Only candidates with current Australian work rights (Australian citizens, permanent residents, valid work visa) will be considered.

Vaccination Requirements

This is a NSW Health Category A position, which requires immunisation against the following:

  • Whooping Cough
  • Hepatitis B
  • Measles / Mumps / Rubella
  • Chicken Pox
  • Screening for Tuberculosis

If you have any current evidence of vaccination against these, upload them with your application. Your current vaccination status will not impact your application. If you are the preferred candidate, you will be responsible for covering the costs of any remaining vaccination requirements.  For more information read the NSW Health OASV Policy.

If you are the preferred candidate, you will also need to complete a Pre-Employment Health Assessment and a Fit Testing Assessment for a P2/N95 face mask, with costs covered by HealthShare NSW
