We are looking for someone who can: 

  • Lead the design, coordination and ongoing development of high-quality evidence consultancy services that meet the needs of our clients.
  • Ensure client management and delivery of projects meet industry best practice standards.
  • Maintain continuous improvement of the service and its processes, including developing lean processes to ensure the service meets the needs of clients efficiently and effectively.
  • Assist in the coordination of cross-functional project teams or large projects to deliver high quality evidence and evaluation outputs efficiently, this may include other teams or agencies within NSW Health external to the ACI.

What you will be doing  

The Agency for Clinical Innovation (ACI) has a growing internal ‘consultancy’ model with a focus on evaluation; economic modelling and business cases; data analysis and dynamic simulation modelling; literature reviews; and stakeholder consultations. It is expected that this scope will evolve over time.

The Consultancy Project Manager will manage, organise and promote the ACI’s internal consultancy model, including developing lean processes to ensure the service meets the needs of clients efficiently and effectively. The position will interact with the NSW Ministry of Health; pillars and statewide services; local health districts and specialty networks. Occasionally it will involve interactions with external agencies.

Employment Type: Full Time Exempt (up to June 2026) 
Position Classification: Health Manager Level 4 
Remuneration: $141,974.00 - $169,151.00 per annum excluding Superannuation
Hours Per Week: 40 (38 standard + 2hrs toward ADO)

Selection Criteria

  1. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as health, public health, social science or other discipline relating to evidence generation.
  2. Experience working within a consultancy or equivalent service leading projects end to end.
  3. Experience completing or supporting one or more of the following: evaluations, stakeholder consultations, evidence synthesis, and / or economic analysis.
  4. Demonstrated ability to provide project management expertise and advice which is strategic and adds value.
  5. Demonstrated ability to work with multiple projects, teams, and stakeholders across a range of subject matter areas.
  6. Sound critical and analytical skills which can be applied to the NSW and the national health policy context.
  7. Demonstrated experience in gathering, interpreting, synthesising and triangulating evidence from multiple sources to generate policy and practice insights.
  8. High level verbal and written communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
