Blue Mountains District ANZAC Memorial Hospital is an acute hospital that supports a population of approximately 80,000 and is the only ANZAC Memorial hospital remaining in NSW. We are seeking to engage a Clinical Nurse/Midwife Specialist Grade 2 (CNMS2) to provide senior clinical leadership in the development of specialist clinical practice and service delivery within a nursing unit, team or service. The incumbent will utilise advanced clinical skills and exercise extended autonomy of decision-making whilst working closely with managers and other senior clinician to provide safe, compassionate, person-centred health care in collaboration with patients, families, carers and multidisciplinary teams.

What you will bring to the role
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse/Midwife Division 1 with AHPRA.
- Relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years’ experience working in the clinical area of their specified post-graduate qualification, or such other qualifications or equivalent experience deemed appropriate.
- Demonstrated capacity to provide effective nursing/midwifery care that is person centred, family inclusive and culturally sensitive to people accessing health services.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of referral pathways and services related to discharge planning and ongoing care, including COMPACS, TACP, My Aged Care, ACAT.
- Demonstrated effective communications written and verbal skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision maintaining involvement within the wider multidisciplinary team.
- Current Driver’s Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel.
