About the Role


You will be working at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. It is one of the nation’s most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history of serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities. Our facilities and services are world class and our staff are dedicated, innovative and caring. 
  
“Community Mental Health Team” (Core Team) is the mainstay of the community mental health system.
Core Team provide a range of clinical services including intake, assessment, consultation, treatment and care coordination. Care coordination is the main component of this model of care and includes extended care coordination, targeted packages of care and short term care coordination.       
 
Consumers under the care of Core Teams will either have:   
  
1. Short term interventions and may be discharged or referred back to their GPs or other treatment providers after a period of weeks or months.
2. A period of treatment as recommended by evidence based practices.  
3. Ongoing care and monitoring for prolonged periods.

  
The clinician will practice in keeping with the standardised Sydney LHD position description for the profession in addition to this position description.

Ideal Candidate

  • Recognised tertiary qualifications appropriate to profession. Full registration and eligibility for membership to professional association, as appropriate.
  • Demonstrated competencies to provide contemporary mental health practice.
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable).
