About the Role
  • To provide comprehensive clinical mental health services to people with a mental illness or mental disorder that is least intrusive, collaborative, recovery oriented, nominated carer and family responsive and inclusive, rehabilitative, encourages self-advocacy, facilitates empowerment and capacity for optimal independent function and utilises evidence-based practice interventions.
This position is graded as a Registered Nurse, Psychologist, Social Worker Level 1 and Occupational Therapist Level 1 with adjustment to grading according to years of registration.

Selection Criteria to be addressed: 

  1. Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Nursing and including eligibility for membership of relevant professional body &/or full registration (if applicable) with AHPRA.
  2. Demonstrated skills in mental health and discipline specific assessments and interventions and experience working with people with mental illness.
  3. Demonstrated ability to collaborate meaningfully with consumers and carers with a commitment and understanding of recovery principles in mental health service provision.
  4. Demonstrated working knowledge of NSW Mental Health Act 2007 and Mental Health Amendment (Statutory Review) Act 2014 .
  5. Demonstrated excellent communication skills including verbal, written, and good interpersonal skills.
  6. Computer competence and literacy.
  7. Current NSW State Drivers' Licence including P1 or above and willingness to use for work purposes.
