Where you will be working

 

Finley Hospital is a 16 bed acute service also providing an emergency department.  Community health services include ACAT, occupational therapy, speech pathology, audiometry, community nursing and child and family health nursing.

What you will be doing

 

The management and leadership of acute and sub-acute services as well as the provision of community health services.  This role is responsible for the day to day operational management of the designated facility as well as the operational and strategic accountability for sites within the Cluster. 


Responsible to the General Manager and working within a combination of Primary Health, Secondary Prevention and Self Care framework, the Cluster Manager is responsible for the operation and delivery of health services within the  Cluster. 


The position will ensure organisation objectives and strategic plans, business plans and policy directions of NSW MoH are implemented. 


The position is a key influencer in moving MLHD to integrated health models of care. 


The position is also responsible for providing an environment that supports learning in addition to a broad range of Nursing & Midwifery and other staff responsibilities. 
 

 

Selection Criteria

 

  • Current authority to practice as a registered nurse or midwife with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Authority (AHPRA) and a degree in a relevant field, or equivalent work experience, or a combination of study and work experience.
  • Demonstrated advanced communication, negotiation and consultant abilities with the capacity to Influence local communities, health professional, health Interest groups and staff.
  • Highly developed leadership skills and the capacity and experience to lead, manage, motivate, develop and organise staff to achieve facility, Cluster, District and professional outcomes.
