This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced pharmacist to lead the expanding Clinical Trials Pharmacy program at Royal North Shore Hospital, and join a dedicated and innovative pharmacy service. The Clinical Trials Pharmacy Service currently supports over 200 clinical trials and has a proven track record of attracting, initiating and completing academically valuable research and phase 1-2 trials.
A part-time temporary position as Senior Clinical Trials Pharmacy Manager is currently available, with the possibility of ongoing employment.

What you'll be doing

What You Will Be Doing: As the Clinical Trials Pharmacy Manager, you will coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Clinical Trials Pharmacy. Your responsibilities will include:

# Ensuring high standards of service for clinical trials patients.
# Managing, budgeting, and facilitating clinical trials programs.
# Liaising with trial personnel, sponsors, and pharmacy staff.
# Overseeing record-keeping, trial setup, and financial reporting.
# Participating in the pharmacy management team and departmental education and training.
# Performance development, education and training of clinical trials pharmacists and technicians.
# Leading quality improvement activities, research and optimising processes within the department.

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.


Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:


  1. Current registration as a pharmacist with the Pharmacy Board of Australia with no conditions or restrictions on practice and evidence of extensive relevant hospital experience.
  2. Working knowledge of guidelines and regulations relating to Good Clinical Research practice, and facilitation of compassionate access programs within a hospital environment.
  3. Experience in managing staff including performance management
  4. Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement activities or service evaluation process. Experience in clinical teaching and supervision of students, interns, Pharmacist, and/or Pharmacy Technicians/Assistants
