Fixed Term Part-Time (0.4 – 3 Years)

 

  • Fixed Term, Part Time (32 hours per fortnight, 3 years).
  • Salary Classification: Admin Officer Level 4, Year 1-2.
  • Remuneration: $36.45 - $37.29 per hour + superannuation + annual leave loading + salary packaging options

THE ROLE:

Calvary Mater Newcastle is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Clinical Trial Finance Officer to join our team.

This role is responsible for the coordination, management, and reconciliation of finances within the Trial Unit cost centre. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of financial processes and demonstrate a keen eye for detail, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all financial transactions.

DUTIES:

  • Develop and maintain effective, professional relationships with sponsors and third parties;
  • Coordinate with Sponsors and Trial team to ensure all due income is received and correct;
  • Reconcile income received within the Trial Unit Cost centre including grants, donations and interest;
  • Coordinate with third party service providers to ensure timely payment of expenditures/accounts payable;
  • Establish and manage patient reimbursements associated with Trials;
  • Reconcile all expenditure within the Trial Unit Cost centre including internal and external service providers, patient reimbursements, staff wages and general Trial Unit expenditures

ABOUT YOU:

  • Relevant Experience in Finance environment
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Computer systems/ relevant databases
  • Demonstrated understanding of finance processes
  • Demonstrated ability to work proficiently in periods of high demand and activity
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills and organisational skills including time management
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills both written and verbal
