About the Role

You will be working at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. It is one of the nation’s most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history of serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities. The role will provide clinical psychology services to and clinical leadership within psychology. Provide quality consumer-focused, evidence-based psychological services to patients/clients and carers in order to ensure the provision of optimal health outcomes for the patients/clients of the service. 

 

This position is crucial in undertaking formalised neurodevelopmental and psychology assessments for an extremely at risk group of patients. 
Mentoring from Dr. Wocadlo is provided. Clinical work includes: 

  • Face to face developmental interview and assessment
  • Telehealth consultation with families
  • Liaison with community service providers
  • Clinical report writing for NDIS supports and interventions, and/or learning supports within school system.

Ideal candidate

  • Currently registered with AHPRA and holds a post graduate degree in clinical psychology (Masters, and/or Doctorate or PhD) that provides eligibility for full membership of the APS and ACPA.
  • Has clinical knowledge, skill and clinical experience in the provision of clinical neurodevelopmental and behavioural assessment, and diagnosis. Demonstrated ability to communicate findings to families and liaise with involved health and educational professionals. Demonstrated skills in working with families will be essential.
