Essential Criteria:
Registration: Registration as Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Selection Criteria:
- A four year degree in Psychology, being a three year degree with a fourth year honours in Psychology, and a post-graduate degree at the masters level or higher in Clinical Psychology from a recognised university. Registration with Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA).
- Experience in the provision of mental health practice, including conducting mental health assessments and the provision of evidence-based interventions for children and adolescents who are experiencing eating disorders and comorbidities at high levels of complexity and severity.
- Demonstrated knowledge of disordered eating, body image and related social and cultural issues associated with the development of eating disorders and demonstrated knowledge of innovative public health and community interventions to address the development and treatment of eating disorders.
- Demonstrated experience in liaising, consulting on medical and/or mental health issues with health professionals eg. GP’s, Nurses, Allied Health, involved in the management and treatment of eating disorders.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver therapeutic models for effective treatment of eating disorders such as Maudsley Family-Based Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills, interpersonal, verbal and written and the ability to work individually and in a multidisciplinary team.
