An exciting opportunity exists for motivated Registered Nurse to join the dynamic Infection Prevention and Control (IPaC) multi-disciplinary team at Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital.

What you’ll be doing:
The Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 will provide safe, compassionate, quality, person centred specialist care and work in collaboration with patients/families/carers and a multidisciplinary team to achieve identified goals and outcomes.
The Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2, is responsible for leadership in quality and best practice in Infection Prevention and Control (IPaC). This will be achieved through the provision of advice, education, risk prevention and practice improvement methodologies in collaboration with the area Infection Control Consultants. The position of Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 is part of a small team which exercises professional knowledge and judgement and works cooperatively in providing leadership and guidance in infection prevention and control.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Nurse Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) with relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years' experience working in the clinical area of their specified post-graduate qualification or such other qualifications or relevant equivalent experience.
- A minimum of three (3) years clinical experience. Relevant post registration qualifications demonstrating a high level of clinical nursing knowledge, clinical experience and skill in acute care nursing.
- Exercises extended autonomy of decision making.
- Exercises professional knowledge and judgement in providing complex care and ability to function in a multidisciplinary team.
- Provides leadership in the development of nursing speciality clinical practice and service delivery.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience in providing education to healthcare workforce. Current NSW Driver Licence.
