How to Apply
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible.

    1. Current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA). A Registered Nurse/Midwife appointed to a position classified as such with relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years’ experience working in the clinical area of their specified post-graduate qualification, or such other qualifications or equivalent experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation.
    2. Accredited in the administration and management of patients being treated with cytotoxic agents (chemotherapy). Experience in the administration and management of patients being treated with biological therapies. Accredited in Central Venous Access Devices (CVAD’s). Accredited in cannulation and venepuncture.
    3. Must possess a valid Australian Drivers Licence (excluding learner driver's licences). If not already in possession, a NSW Drivers Licence must be obtained within 3 months of appointment.
    4. Registered Nurse with at least 5 years demonstrated experience working in Hematology or Oncology in either inpatient or outpatient setting.
    5. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with members of the multidisciplinary health care team in the planning, implementation, assessment, and evaluation of care that is evidenced based and culturally appropriate to achieve quality patient/outcomes.
    6. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with clinical trial patients/consumers, carers, and the multidisciplinary health care team to identify and ensure responsiveness of care needs.
    7. Demonstrated capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner and personally resolve conflicts when they arise.
    8. Demonstrated ability to Facilitate the delivery of rigorous, high-quality clinical research to improve health care outcomes, the research participant experience, and treatment pathways.
    9. Demonstrated involvement in the education of patients and relatives regarding clinical trials, treatment provided, management of adverse events and follow up.
    10. Demonstrated understanding and participation in risk management, work health and safety and quality improvement in the workplace.
    11. Proven experience in the application of adult education principle and facilitation. With a working Knowledge of the development delivery and evaluation of clinical education programs and projects within a large diverse organisation.
