- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- A post graduate qualification in a relevant clinical field (or working towards), or 3 years work experience in the scrub/scout speciality.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with patients/consumers, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team.
- Demonstrated clinical teaching and learning and facilitation skills in the health care environment (adult learning principles).
- Demonstrated understanding of competency-based assessment with experience in education / clinical teaching and developing clinical resources based on adult learning principles.
- Demonstrated evidence of the use of critical thinking as it relates to the delivery of evidenced based nursing care.
- Demonstrated understanding and participation in risk management, work health and safety and quality improvement in the workplace.
- Computer literacy and understanding of hospital information systems.
