- Current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
- Holds a relevant clinical or education post registration qualification and/or substantial clinical and educational experience.
- Drug and Alcohol nursing experience across a range of sub specialties within a hospital, community health, ambulatory, or correctional setting
- Effective communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Demonstrated understanding of teaching and adult learning principles in the health care environment.
- Demonstrated clinical teaching and facilitation skills and demonstrated knowledge of competency attainment and assessment
- Computer literacy and demonstrated understanding of health services information systems
- Demonstrated understanding and commitment to the CORE values of NSW Health.
