Where you'll be working

Ryde hospital, Ward 5

Ryde Hospital is having an incredible $479 million complete hospital redevelopment that will transform the delivery of healthcare for the Ryde local community.
The Ryde Hospital Redevelopment will result in new health facilities and enhanced services including emergency, ICU/critical care, inpatient units, outpatient/ambulatory care services and much more. 
Construction commenced in early 2023, and will provide you with a wonderful and exciting opportunity to be part of the Ryde team to change the future health services for the Ryde Community completely.


What you'll be doing

Ward 5 is a 24-bed general medical ward where innovation in patient care meets excellence in nursing practice. In this fast-paced environment, the Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) collaborates closely with the Nurse Unit Manager to drive high-impact learning and development initiatives. From hands-on clinical teaching and immersive orientation programs to evidence-based skill accreditation and ongoing professional development, the CNE plays a vital role in shaping the future of nursing on the ward, empowering both staff and students to thrive, grow, and lead in healthcare excellence.



People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Holds AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse AND holds relevant clinical or education post registration qualifications or such education and clinical experience deemed appropriate by the employer.
  2. Demonstrated effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  3. Demonstrated computer literacy.
  4. Proven ability to effectively manage and resolve conflict in a professional and constructive manner, promoting a positive and respectful work environment.
