Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 3 - Infection Prevention and Control - Sydney/Sydney Eye Hospital

Selection Criteria:

1. Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse – Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia  with  a minimum of seven (7) years full time post registration experience, with at least five (5) years full time equivalent experience in IP&C including postgraduate nursing qualifications in IPC and completion of  a certification in an accredited  vaccination program or working towards same.
2. Demonstrated clinical experience in data collection/reporting of notifiable conditions (under the Public Health Act 2010) with expertise in managing occupational exposure incidents, instigating response to outbreaks and identifying levels/variations of infections
3. Demonstrated advanced communication and interpersonal skills across a variety of mediums and proven application of the practice development framework to clinical practice.
4. Demonstrated ability to implement changes and develop direction in clinical practice of infection prevention and control by the initiation, utilisation and review of evidence based research
5. Demonstrated leadership in strategic and clinical service planning and expertise in the management of organisational and cultural change.
6. Proven advanced skills in clinical teaching, competency in the use of contemporary information systems and evidence of ability to direct the development of educational programs.
7. Proven clinical expertise in complex client-centred consultancy with the ability to work independently.
8. Current Driver’s license.
