Selection Criteria

  1. Qualification as a Registered Nurse/Midwife having experience in this position as approved by the Public Hospital and Public Health Organization and current registration with the Australian Practitioner Registration Agency.
  2. At least five years full time experience and or equivalent post registration experience with at least 3 years full time equivalent experience in the specialty filed. Demonstrated nursing/midwife qualifications relevant in the provision of child and adolescent mental health services and a breadth of knowledge and expertise in contemporary practices in Child and Adolescent Mental Health.
  3. Demonstrated experience in the assessment and management of children and adolescents with high level of acuity of Mental Health issues through a client centered consultancy with the ability to work independently.
  4. Demonstrated effective communication and inter-personal skills across a variety of mediums and an understanding of the practice development framework.
  5. Demonstrated Clinical leadership capacity and clinical supervision skills. Experience in project work or service development activities that involve planning, developing, implementing, reviewing and evaluation of new initiatives within a health service context.
  6. Demonstrated skills in strategic and clinical service planning including an understanding of organizational behaviour, change management and cultural change processes.
  7. Demonstrated skills in clinical teaching, competency in the use of contemporary information systems experience in the development of specialty education programs.
  8. Current NSW driver’s license
