Selection Criteria
- Qualification as a Registered Nurse/Midwife having experience in this position as approved by the Public Hospital and Public Health Organization and current registration with the Australian Practitioner Registration Agency.
- At least five years full time experience and or equivalent post registration experience with at least 3 years full time equivalent experience in the specialty filed. Demonstrated nursing/midwife qualifications relevant in the provision of child and adolescent mental health services and a breadth of knowledge and expertise in contemporary practices in Child and Adolescent Mental Health.
- Demonstrated experience in the assessment and management of children and adolescents with high level of acuity of Mental Health issues through a client centered consultancy with the ability to work independently.
- Demonstrated effective communication and inter-personal skills across a variety of mediums and an understanding of the practice development framework.
- Demonstrated Clinical leadership capacity and clinical supervision skills. Experience in project work or service development activities that involve planning, developing, implementing, reviewing and evaluation of new initiatives within a health service context.
- Demonstrated skills in strategic and clinical service planning including an understanding of organizational behaviour, change management and cultural change processes.
- Demonstrated skills in clinical teaching, competency in the use of contemporary information systems experience in the development of specialty education programs.
- Current NSW driver’s license
