About Us

Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) is a wonderful place to expand your career and grow your skills and knowledge. As a recognised leader in the healthcare industry, we provide a range of public health services to the Nepean, Blue Mountains, and Lithgow Region.

Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. The Nepean Campus has recently experienced tremendous growth and aims to support communities within and outside of Sydney’s western suburbs, providing world-class clinical facilities, services, and care.

Our team in the Nepean Antenatal Ward is seeking to engage a Clinical Nurse/Midwife Educator to join their service. Our district's Nursing and Midwifery Workforce aims to provide safe, compassionate, person-centred health care in collaboration with patients, families, carers and multidisciplinary teams. Your role will see you promote a culture of development and inquiry that actively encourages and facilitates clinical learning, evidence based best practice, reflective practice, and ownership of professional development.

The Clinical Nurse/Midwife Educator (CNME) works in consultation with the Nursing/Midwifery Unit Managers (NMUMs) in the identification, plannning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of education and development programs for staff working in the ward/unit/service. The incumbent will ensure the provision of clinical teaching, orientation, skill accreditation, and professional development support for all nursing staff and students. The position is also expected to teach courses appropriate to nursing within facilities across the district.

We invite you to take this next step and grow your career with us. Apply Today!
