Essential Requirments
Registration: Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) (NSW Registered Midwife – Division 1).
Selection Criteria
- Training &Assessment (TAA) qualification or Certificate IV in Workplace Training or relevant post graduate tertiary studies in education or willingness to attain same
- Demonstrated ability to design, implement and evaluate clinical education at the ward/unit level
- Extensive recent clinical midwifery experience with a sound knowledge of contemporary midwifery practice
- Demonstrated effective and high level communication skills including negotiation and conflict resolutions skills in addition to proven ability to motivate and engage people in the clinical setting
- Demonstrated experience in clinical teaching utilising adult learning principles
- Strong commitment to the on-going development/enhancement of midwifery practice within a patient centred, multi-disciplinary clinical environment
