Clinical Expert Older Persons Mental Health Service - Psychosocial Support - Goulburn
Selection Criteria
- Tertiary qualifications and current registration with AHPRA for Registered Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, or eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers for Social Workers. For Clinical Nurse Consultants a minimum of five years full-time equivalent post registration experience, with at least three years full time equivalent experience in mental health including an approved mental health postgraduate tertiary qualification.
- Demonstrated understanding of the concept and principles of mental health for older people and demonstrated experience and skills using a collaborative, strengths based approach to the care of mental health consumers.
- Proven ability to think critically, problem solve and make timely, sound clinical decisions whilst working autonomously.
- Demonstrated expertise in leadership and support, upholding standards of clinical practice, and critically analyse, review of how care is delivered within relevant legislative framework.
- Demonstrated understanding and application of the Aged Care Act (1997).
- Ability to communication effectively and the capacity to engage and collaborate with consumers, their families and carers and/or other stakeholders, and a demonstrated high level proficiency in computer literacy.
- Evidence of a current unrestricted drivers’ licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances and overnight stays.
