  1. Relevant tertiary qualifications or recent extensive working experience as a Clinician, Health Information Manager, Clinical Coder, Clinical Coding Educator/Auditor or documentation improvement specialist.
  2. Demonstrated excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills with experience delivering presentations to all levels of staff, including senior clinicians, within the organisation.
  3. Proven ability and experience in implementing change management processes in a broad health care setting.
  4. Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously and within a team.
  5. Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement principles and improved health care outcomes.
  6. Demonstrated understanding of Activity Based Management and its relationship to the documentation in the health record, health service activity data and health service funding.
  7. Ability to analyse complex data concerning current benchmarks, activity targets and key performance indicators.
  8. Advanced computing skills in Microsoft, clinical applications (e.g. eMR) and relevant packages with demonstrated experience in collecting and managing data.
