Clinical Consultant - Transcultural Mental Health Refugee Project

Essential Criteria:

Qualification: Tertiary qualifications in psychology. Psychologists applicants must possess an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) accredited four- year qualification in Psychology, and be eligible for unrestricted general registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA), Psychology Board of Australia (PsychBA)
Registration: Full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

Selection Criteria:

1. Experience in providing mental health and psychosocial assessment for consumers, families, and carers from culturally and linguistically diverse communities, including experience with persons from refugee or asylum-seeker communities
2. Bi-lingual / bi-cultural professional capacity in specified language
3. Demonstrable experience in providing care or service to traumatised populations
4. Effective interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with clients across cultures
5. High level of written and spoken communication skills including use of telephone and online modalities
6. Experience in building and maintaining networks with health or welfare providers
7. High level understanding of privacy, confidentiality, and cultural safety
8. Valid unrestricted Drivers Licence
