Clinical Coding Team Leader - Lismore

1. Demonstrated experience coding at an advanced senior level in a health facility using the current edition of ICD-10-AM, and extensive knowledge of Australian Coding Standards, DRGs and activity based funding.
2. Demonstrated experience in leading a team, managing and developing clinical coding staff.
3. Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills, and previous experience in building and maintaining relationships with clinical staff to measurably improve clinical documentation is desirable.
4. High level of experience with 3M encoder, patient administration systems, electronic medical records, Microsoft Office suite and data analysis software.
5. Demonstrated experience in coding quality improvement activities including auditing and clinical documentation improvement, and excellent data extraction, analysis and presentation skills.
6. Valid unrestricted drivers licence for use in NSW/Australia and willingness to travel in the course of employment.
