The Opportunity

The Clinical Advisor (Prosthetics and Orthotics) is responsible for supporting the state-wide delivery of equipment services to people with chronic health conditions living in the community who require equipment as prescribed by clinicians. The Clinical Advisor (Prosthetics and Orthotics) supports the clinical and operational aspects of the Prosthetic Limb Service (PLS) including the provision of interim limbs in public hospitals and the Aids and Equipment Program (AEP) – Orthotics/Footwear (O/F) Program.

Targeted Questions
- Hold a relevant tertiary Prosthetics and Orthotics qualification and be eligible for registration with the Australian Orthotics and Prosthetics Association (AOPA) or Physiotherapist, registered with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA).
- As an experienced senior clinician outline your advanced clinical knowledge, skills and significant clinical experience in prosthetics/orthotics and amputee rehabilitation service delivery. Also, demonstrate how you have increased your knowledge of complex prosthetic/orthotic device design (including components).
- Provide examples to demonstrate your high-level written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to effectively engage and collaborate to build and maintain relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders using a variety of communication methods.
