Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Cumberland and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region. What you'll be doing
Chronic and Complex Allied Health Manager is responsible for the strategic management of allied health services that ensure the provision and development of a range of high quality preventative, early intervention and treatment services for clients with chronic and complex care health issues.  The core functions of the role are:

  • Strategic leadership of allied health service across the Chronic & Complex stream.
  • Leadership and management of Chronic and Complex Service Coordinators.
  • Planning and managing human, financial and material resources for services across allied health in order to meet key performance indicators and financial accountabilities.

Planning, development and provision of allied health services which ensure a consistent approach to service delivery in line with the strategic directions, policy and best practice standards of the Integrated & Community Health, WSLHD and NSW Health

Selection Criteria:

  1. Relevant clinical qualifications in an allied health related field and relevant post graduate management qualifications or proven extensive management experience.
  2. Extensive experience in leadership and management of allied health clinical services, effective staff management and multidisciplinary clinical leadership skills
  3. Highly developed organisation, planning and analytical skills including proven experience in the planning clinical services, management of clinical activity and performance monitoring
  4. Proven knowledge and experience of primary care and community health clinical service delivery and clinical practice models
  5. Knowledge and experience of quality processes and a commitment to the implementation of best practice and clinical service innovation
  6. Highly developed and effective communication, negotiation and delegation skills including the demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgement and initiative
  7. Current NSW Class C Driver’s License and willingness to use for work purposes
