Where you'll be working
Royal North Shore Hospital

What you'll be doing

Delivering a high-quality care and education curriculum to the children of families working at Royal North Shore Hospital. The position requires working in partnership with parents and understanding their needs, implementing EYLF and philosophy of care, ensuring it guides pedagogy. The position requires working with the Director and the team to ensure curriculum decision and making contributions to each child's learning and wellbeing.

 

The position of Child Care Worker exists within the Northern Sydney Local Health District. The position is situated at the Hospital Child Care Centre, which provides day care for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years. The position requires the incumbent to work rotating shifts. Award conditions apply.

 

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

 

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Diploma of Children's Services or Associate Diploma of Social Science (Child Studies) or Certificate in Child Studies or equivalent.
  2. Flexible approval to curriculum and program to support the needs of children and families in a work based service and a commitment to providing high quality and care for families and children of the service.
  3. Sound, practical working knowledge of the National Quality Framework.
  4. Current first aid certificate.
