What you'll be doing
To lead a multidisciplinary team providing a professional and efficient diagnostic imaging service to the Cardiology Department, ensuring a high quality of patient care.
- Post graduate qualification in cardiac ultrasound with extensive practical experience.
- Current accreditation with the Australian Sonographers Accreditation Registry (ASAR).
- Demonstrated excellent clinical reasoning skills in the performance of complex echocardiography procedures which reflect a high level of practical expertise.
- Demonstrated experience in service development with proven ability to develop and implement protocols and procedures pertaining to cardiac ultrasound.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor/support cardiac sonographers as well as a high level of interpersonal communication and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional growth and lifelong learning (e.g. continuing professional development, research, staff training, etc.).
- Demonstrated proficiency with computer skills and software programs especially powerchart eMR.
- Ability to organize workload to ensure staff and equipment are utilized efficiently and effectively by using demonstrated effective communication skills both verbal and written.
