We are seeking dedicated and highly skilled Registered Nurses to join our Medical Day Unit and Vascular Access team at Gosford Hospital. As a Registered Nurse in our Medical Day Unit and Vascular Access Team, you will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team. You will lead, direct, and supervise other nurses and allied health professionals, including Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs), ensuring that patients receive exceptional care.
About the Role
You will be based within the Medical Day Unit and Vascular Access Team at Gosford Hospital.
The Registered Nurse is an integral part of the multidisciplinary healthcare team, providing nursing care to patients and clients of the health service; and leading, directing and supervising other nurses and care roles in the team, such as Assistants in Nursing and Enrolled Nurses, to support quality care for patients/ clients.
The focus of the Medical Day Unit is to provide quality, patient orientated, cost effective infusion therapy for outpatients in a hospital setting. It is also concerned with early recognition and prompt intervention in infusion therapy and vascular access device issues. Types of infusions include immunoglobulins, blood transfusions, iron infusions and drug infusions for treatment of conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis and Crohn’s disease.

About You
- You possess current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- You have the ability to effectively prioritise, organise, work independently and manage own workload.
- You have an understanding of team nursing and demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of the multi-disciplinary health care team.
