At Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD), our vision is Trusted care. Better health for everyone. We’re looking for Registered Nurses who embody compassion, resilience and a strong desire to make a difference.

Step into a role where your aged care experience is not only welcomed but valued. 3H is our Acute Geriatric Unit at Wyong Hospital, a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment that blends acute medicine with heartfelt, person-centred care. This is an ideal opportunity for nurses from aged care settings seeking to build their acute skills while working with one of the most vulnerable and rewarding patient groups.

About You

  • You hold current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
  • You have a minimum of two years’ experience working in residential aged care, community nursing, or a similar setting where care of older people is central to your practice.
  • You are eligible to work in Australia (Australian citizenship, permanent residency or unrestricted work rights are required). You’re looking to broaden your clinical scope in a hospital environment and are motivated to grow your skills in acute geriatric care.
  • You demonstrate sound clinical judgement, excellent time management, and a proactive team approach.
  • You communicate clearly and professionally with patients, families and colleagues, and understand the importance of documentation and multidisciplinary collaboration.
  • You take pride in delivering person-centred care with empathy, professionalism and respect.

About the Role

  • Join a supportive, inclusive team under the leadership of a dedicated and hands-on Nurse Unit Manager who will support your learning and development.
  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients requiring acute geriatric care.
  • Participate in team nursing with the broader multidisciplinary health care team, including allied health and medical staff.
  • Access a safe, nurturing workplace where your professional growth is supported, and your contributions are recognised.
