We are excited to invite applications for casual Registered Midwifes to join our dedicated team across the Central Coast Local Health District. In this essential role, you will provide compassionate, person-centred care across the continuum , working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to support women and their families through their journey. As a Registered Midwife, you will deliver safe and effective maternity care throughout the  continuum, from antenatal to postnatal care. Your role will involve assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care plans to achieve the best possible outcomes for women and their families. You will manage emergency situations as they arise, provide clinical supervision and mentoring to junior staff, and contribute to professional development within the team. Additionally, you will maintain accurate documentation on patient care, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and continuous care. 


About You

1. Current Registration or eligible for Registration as Registered Midwife (Division 1) with AHPRA, and provides evidence of meeting the AHPRA Recency of Practice Standards and current unrestricted NSW drivers licence.

2. Recent competent clinical experience in midwifery, demonstrating ability to practice safe care in line with policies and directives and clinical practice guidelines.

3. Understanding of team nursing and demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary health care team.
