Our Neurology/Stroke Inpatient Unit at Gosford Hospital has achieved Platinum status by the World Stroke Organisation, a distinction held by only 3 hospitals across Australia. Recently, the stroke unit team at Gosford Hospital received Primary Stroke Unit Certification from the Australian Stroke Coalition, further emphasising our commitment to excellence in stroke care and patient outcomes.
About You
You are a seasoned Enrolled Nurse with a wealth of experience, ideally in neurology, or extensive acute services expertise. Your genuine passion for advancing your clinical practice in the Neurology/Stroke specialty sets you apart.
- Clinical Expertise: Although neurology/stroke clinical expertise is preferred. If you have at least 24 months EN experience in acute services you will be equipped with the skills to excel in this challenging and rewarding field.
- Eager Learner: You have a genuine interest in further developing your clinical practice, always seeking new knowledge and skills.
- Compassionate Caregiver: Patience, resilience, and compassion are at the core of your approach, ensuring our neurology/stroke patients and their families feel safe and supported.

Where you’ll be working
The Neurology/Stroke Inpatient Unit has 24 neurology beds and 8 acute stroke beds. As a member of our Neurology Inpatient Unit, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside a strong leadership team that values your input and fosters a culture of continuous improvement.
