Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) are looking for a dedicated, self-motivated and experienced Clinical Coding Educator to come and join our dynamic coding team.

 

About the Role

  •        Hybrid work model with flexibility to suit your lifestyle.
  •        Full time or part time opportunities available.
  •        Flexible working hours – 8 hours per day, no weekend work.
  •        Based at Gosford or Wyong Hospital, with travel between sites.
  •        Access to fleet cars for travel.

  •        Exposure to a diverse case mix, including medical, surgical, obstetrics, aged care and mental health.
  •        We are committed to ongoing coding training for our staff and hold regular coding 'huddles' and bimonthly coding education day

About You

  •       Completion of a recognised Australian qualification in Clinical Coding, or a degree in Health Information Management, or equivalent work experience, or a combination of study and work experience.
  •       Extensive experience and competence in using ICD-10-AM/ACHI/ACS, including experience coding in a hospital with a broad range of specialties with a proven knowledge of Australian Coding Standards, DRGs and Casemix and their application in the health system.
  •       Experience in staff training, development and supervision with demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
  •       A current NSW Driver’s licence
